Use JointSealR Tape for Foamular Seams for Warranty Purposes

Contractors and homeowners alike using Foamular XPS foam board as sheathing and foundation systems most likely do not know that the Owens Corning Foamular specifications require the sealing of the joints of the boards.  If they do know that the seams and joints must be sealed,  they may not know that they are required to use only Owens Corning Foamular JointSealR Tape.

Foamular JointSealR tape can be applied at almost any temperature, to freezing cold days to sweltering hot and humid summer afternoons.

JointSealR tape is extremely sticky and is specially formulated to stick to the smooth surface of the XPS board.

Owens Corning JointSealR Foam Joint Tape is used to tape the joints of FOAMULAR extruded polystyrene (XPS) board in vertical wall applications as continuous insulation over steel or wood wall framing, or as masonry cavity wall insulation. The durable backing, coated with an aggressive acrylic adhesive offers excellent adhesion, strength, handleability and flexibility.

JointSealR Foam Joint Tape will move along with building materials as they flex and adjust to the change in seasons, allowing it to stay in place and not create gaps in the weather barrier.
